The Chariton JV1 volleyball team played well in a 2-0 win over Albia at Chariton Tuesday, Sept. 21.

Chariton won the two sets by scores of 21-16 and 21-19. They also played for an extra 20 minutes where Albia finished ahead, 32-23.

“Albia had beaten us at our tournament a couple of weeks ago so it was great to turn the tables on them tonight. They’re a good team, but we played well against them,” Chariton JV1 Head Coach Brian Zimmerli said.

In serving, McKinleigh Milledge went 13-15 with two aces. Alivia Curtis went 9-9 with two aces. Jessica Metzger went 9-10 with one ace. Brooklyn Collins went 8-9 with two aces. Charlotte Entrekin went 6-7 with two aces.

Leah Chandler went 4-4. Milanna Primakov went 3-3. Aubrey Snuggs went 3-3 with one ace. Tatyana Allen-Winston went 1-2. Tanlee Keltner went 1-2.

In hitting, Ava Johnson went 3-3 with one kill. Allen-Winston went 3-5 with one kill. Maddi Howell went 2-3 with one kill. Collins went 2-3. Peyton Ruble went 1-1 with one kill. Curtis went 1-1.
