The All-Conference selections for the 2020-21 South Central Conference boys basketball season were released recently.
Chariton had one player selected to All-Conference in freshman guard Mason Smith, who was named to All-SCC Honorable Mention.
Albia, the regular season SCC boys champion, had three players named to the All-SCC First Team including two unanimous selections in senior Blake Chance and sophomore Drew Chance. Albia senior Brayden Messamaker was also named to the All-SCC First Team.
The other unanimous First Team selections were Knoxville senior Kieren Nichols, Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont junior Ethan Davis, and Davis County junior Dalton Reeves. The other All-SCC First Team selection was Knoxville senior Spencer Hixson.
Four players were unanimous selections to the All-SCC Second Team including Clarke freshman Jack Cooley, Centerville senior Brady Kauzlarich, Knoxville sophomore Luke Keitges, and Davis County senior Noah Zmolek. Also named to the All-SCC Second Team were Albia senior Trey Griffin, EBF senior Thane Alexander, and EBF freshman Brooks Moore.
Along with Smith, the other players named to All-SCC Honorable Mention were Clarke senior Dalton Stubbe, Davis County senior Ivan Garcia, Clarke senior Nick Neer, Albia senior Nate Wynn, Albia senior Jackson DeMoss, Knoxville senior Mike Hudson, Knoxville senior Keegan Cox, EBF senior Jared McCrea, EBF sophomore Carsen Wade, Clarke junior Kamis Bullis, Davis County junior Caedyn Glosser, Davis County senior Alex Lynch, Centerville senior Merrick Mathews, Centerville freshman Brody Tuttle, and Knoxville freshman Noah Keefer.
Albia won the regular season SCC boys standings with a 12-0 record. Knoxville was second at 9-2 and EBF was third at 6-6. Clarke was fourth at 5-6. Davis County was fifth at 5-7 and Centerville was sixth at 4-8. Chariton was seventh at 0-12.
