Cindy Clark passed away Sept. 7, 2021 with family at here bedside in hospice.
Cynthia Lynn Clark was born August 1, 1955 to Billy and Junita (Grove) Clark at Yocum hospital in Chariton.
Cindy went to school in Chariton and Russell, Iowa. She graduated from Chariton High in 1973. While in high school in Russell, she was a cheerleader and homecoming attendant.
She also attended DMAC in Ankeny. Cindy was an avid reader and loved going to college. She was very smart and applied herself to learning as much as possible.
Cindy was a fun-loving kind person. She was a political person and advocate for gay and lesbian rights. Should a conversation become negative she would diplomatically change the subject. Cindy was loved by many.
Cindy is survived by her daughter, Heather (Bobby) Allen of Ames; her grandsons, Cass, Caden and Zane. Her siblings, Pat (Terri) Clark, Gary Chamberlain, Steve Chamberlain and sister, Terri Jo Clark. Also, aunt, uncles, many cousins and nieces and nephews.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Juanita Chamberlain, Billy Clark and Richard Chamberlain. Also, her brothers, Bob Clark and John Chamberlain and aunts and uncles.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Cindy on Sept. 24, 2021. This will take place at Croation Slavis Center at 6575 Indianola Avenue, Des Moines, IA. Celebration will start at 4 pm. Cindy’s wishes were a celebration rather than a funeral.
She will be missed by family and friends. Cindy was well loved
