Merrijo Vairo Ellis, September 21, 1952 – February 1, 2021. A Celebration of Life will be held June 12th, 2-4 p.m. at Red Haw State Park – Main Shelter. Food and drinks will be provided. Please bring lawn chairs if you’d like.

Merrijo was a lifelong resident of the Chariton area living in Williamson as a child and then in Chariton as an adult with her husband Earl raising three daughters.
She was a true warrior and faced every challenge in her life with fierceness, faith and a positive attitude. She was a Breast Cancer Survivor and beat Merkel Cell Carcinoma multiple times before losing her battle with Covid19 on February 1st, 2021.
She loved spending time with family and friends and always put others needs before her own. She loved keeping in touch with everyone on Facebook and commenting on posts to let others know she was thinking of them. Merrijo had a way of making everyone feel loved and important. She was loved dearly by her family and friends and held a special place in the hearts of many.
Merrijo is survived by her husband of 44 years Earl Ellis, three daughters Ronnie Johnston, Jeri (Johnston) VanElsen (husband Kevin) and Lindy Ellis (wife Shalene) and ten Grandchildren (Spencer, Dusty, Cami, Tanner, Carter, Ashley, Kaylene, Angelina, Jordyn and Sophia) and 3 Great-Grandchildren (Trenton, Ryder and Dean).
