The Lucas County Health Center Hospital Board of Trustees approved the one-year operating budget for LCHC for 2021-22 at their regular monthly board meeting Tuesday, June 29.
The 2021-22 LCHC operating budget spans from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.
LCHC Chief Financial Officer Jay Christensen reported that the 2021-22 operating budget has $23 million in net patient revenue. He also said that expenses were up about eight percent and the total expense amount in the 2021-22 operating budget is $24 million.
Christensen said the budget has an operating shortfall of about $1 million. “We’re budgeting at about $650,000 for the bottom line including property taxes,” Christensen said.
At Christensen’s request, the board decided to delay action on the three-year capital budgets for LCHC until the July Hospital Board meeting.
