Chris Feehan is running for the position of mayor of the town of Russell. He was born and raised in Melrose and also lived in Chariton where he graduated in 1990. He met his wife Kim at CHS, and they have been married now for 24 years.
He first worked at G.O. Implement and Lumber that is now Lockridge. In 1997 Chris began working at Interiors and More Home Center and worked there until he bought it from the owners in 2010.
The Feehans decided to move to Russell in 1997 because they liked the idea of a smaller school district. When the school closed, they decided to stay put. Their children are now 21, 23, and 25. Two still live in Russell while one lives in Arkansas.
Feehan has been a part of the Russell Volunteer Fire Department since 2006 and is now the Captain of the department. He added EMT to his credentials in 2008. Russell EMTs are first responders, but don’t do any transporting to hospitals.
