The Chariton wrestlers hosted a home quadrangular meet with Knoxville, Albia and Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont this past Thursday night.

The Chargers fell to Knoxville, 53-30, and to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont, 60-12. They did not wrestle Albia at this meet. Logan Demichelis and Joey McDonough each recorded match wins against Knoxville and Jordan Mundy, Nick Wood and Jacob Chapman each recorded match wins against EBF.

Knoxville 53 Chariton 30

This match began at 113 where Chariton’s Octavio Garcia was pinned by Marco Aledo in 3:46. At 120, Knoxville’s Luke Spaur won by forfeit.

At 126, Chariton’s Tyler Govaert was pinned by Kade Bellon in 45 seconds. At 132 Drake Entrekin was pinned by Hayden Hatch in 3:27.

At 138, Tanner Ballard lost by technical fall, 19-2, to J.J. Beaver in 4:35. Knoxville’s Koby Gordon won by forfeit at 145 and Knoxville’s Jax Bellon won by forfeit at 152. Knoxville’s Nash Linsley won by forfeit at 160 and Knoxville’s Gavin Montalvo won by forfeit at 170.

At 182, Demichelis pinned Wyatt Darnell in 2:53. At 195 McDonough pinned Trenton Kingrey in 1:39.

Mundy won by forfeit at 220 and Wood won by forfeit at 285. Chapman won by forfeit at 106.

EBF 60 Chariton 12

The match against EBF began at 120 where there was a double forfeit. At 126, EBF’s Wiatt McGatchey won by forfeit.

At 132, Entrekin was pinned by Levi Vandonsler in 1:47. At 138, Ballard was pinned by Tate Ricard in 1:31.
