The Chariton JV 1 volleyball team played a tough match against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont in their season finale at Chariton Oct. 15.

Chariton lost the match, 2-1, with each game being close. The scores were 20-25, 25-22 and 12-15. The loss gave the Chariton JV 1 team a final record of 9-6-1.

In serving Chariton went 50-58 with 11 aces. Virginia Smith went 10-10 with three aces. Brenna Shriver went 10-11 with one ace. Layne Braby went 8-8 with two aces. Clara Stuart went 7-8 with one ace. Emma Rector went 7-10 with two aces. Macy Wood went 4-5 with one ace and Brooklyn Collins went 4-5 with one ace. Abbey Masters went 0-1.

In attacks, Chariton went 47-54 with 14 kills. Wood went 14-14 with five kills. Rector went 10-11 with two kills. Caci Goldensoph went 9-10 with two kills. Smith went 12-17 with three kills. Shriver went 1-1 with one kill. Braby went 1-1.

Rector had all 10 of the team’s assists. Chariton had eight digs as a team. Braby led the team with five digs. Smith, Shriver and Collins each had one dig. Goldensoph and Wood each had one block.
