As the summer comes to an end, it is time to remind people to consider possible nominations for the Chariton Hall of Fame.

Nominations for the Hall of Fame must be in writing by a non-family member.

To be considered for this honor, the following information must be included with the nomination: the athlete’s name, address and phone number, year of graduation from Chariton High School (those who have not been out a minimum of five years will not be considered), information that shows his/her athletic performance(s) in high school was outstanding, and the nominator’s name, address and phone number.

Most of the athletes chosen for the Hall of Fame have participated in several sports, been state champions or a member of a team, which was part of a state competition. Many Hall of Famers have continued their athletics at the college level.

Please remember that this is a high school Hall of Fame and only their high school athletic accomplishments will be used when selecting the Hall of Fame.
