The Chariton Middle School girls softball team won both games of a doubleheader at Centerville June 10. The CMS girls won the first game, 14-1, and the second game 15-3.

Chariton 14 Centerville 1

In this game, Hailee Smith went 3-3 with three hits and one RBI. Sydney Cain went 3-3 with three hits, two RBIs and two stolen bases. McKenzie Snook went 3-3 with three hits and two RBIs.

Addie McGee went 2-3 with two hits and three RBIs. Abigail Doran went 2-3 with two hits and two RBIs.

Addie Peterson went 2-3 with two hits and one RBI. Heidi Ballard went 1-3 with one hit and two RBIs. Nevaeh Ruble and Briley Atwell each went 1-2 with one hit. Lucy Stratton went 1-3 with one hit and one RBI.

Stratton pitched in this game and McGee was the catcher.

“Everyone had a hit during this game. It was a great effort by the whole team,” Chariton Head Coach Brenda Peterson said.

Chariton 15 Centerville 3

The CMS girls hit the ball very well in this game as well. McGee went 3-3 with three hits and two RBIs.

Doran went 2-2 with two hits, one RBI and two stolen bases. Cain went 2-2 with two hits, one RBI and three stolen bases. Jayden Rodgers went 2-2 with two hits, two RBIs and one stolen base.
