The Chariton girls cross country team had an excellent meet at the PCM Invitational this past Thursday night. Haddon Anderson, Milanna Primakov and Sailor Anderson each earned medals for the Lady Chargers, who placed fourth overall in a tough field with 121 points.

Chariton finished behind only 10th ranked Des Moines Roosevelt from Class 4A, fourth ranked Panorama in Class 2A and 11th ranked Davis County in Class 2A.

Haddon Anderson placed 10th overall in 21:55. Milanna Primakov was 19th in 22:49 and Sailor Anderson was 25th in 23:24.

Lubove Vahnenko placed 33rd in 24:21 and Nadia Miroshnik was 34th in 24:28. Ruth Vahnenko placed 36th in 24:51. Jayden Jensen finished in 26:37.

The Chariton JV girls team placed third out of 13 teams with 76 points. Haylee Sonius was Chariton’s top JV girls runner placing 12th in 26:30. Vivian Bauer placed 15th in 26:40. Vita Belonozhko placed 16th in 27 minutes even. Angel Blagsvedt was 19th in 27:44.

Milana Gogan was 24th in 28:52. Cheyenne Andrews was 25th in 30 minutes even. Alena Rudenko was 26th in 30:07 and Alyssa Rippel was 27th in 30:40. Dora Davison placed 36th in 33:02. Ulyana Kutsel was 43rd in 33:29. Deanna Primakov was 51st in 26:17.
