The Chariton boys cross country team competed at the Knoxville Invitational Oct. 1. The Charger boys placed 12th out of 15 teams with 373 points.
In varsity, Trae Hall led Chariton placing 67th overall in 20:33. Tyler Goben was 71st in 21:22. Lance Wallace was 78th in 21:55 and Blane Wallace was 79th in 22:08. Tanner Ballard was 80th in 22:26. Max Aulwes was 84th in 23 minutes even. Ethan Fehrer was 89th in 24:46.
In the JV race, Ethan Poling placed 126h overall in 28:07.
Norwalk won the overall varsity boys team standings with 27 points. Pella was second with 62 and Grinnell was third with 87. Newton was fourth with 143 and Oskaloosa was fifth with 147.
