The Chariton Middle School baseball team swept a doubleheader with Twin Cedars at Chariton June 6. The CMS boys won the first game 13-3 and the second game, 11-1.

In the first game, Skyler Storm started the game for Chariton and threw three shutout innings. Storm struck out two batters and walked two. He was relieved by Connor Briggs in the fourth inning to close out the game.

“My arm was feeling good and the defense was playing great,” Storm said.

Offensively, the Chargers racked up 12 hits including three by Mason Smith and two by Storm. Jeffrey Arnold had a hard hit double to center field along with a single

Smith went 3-4 with three singles. Kasyn Paige had single and double and John Miller had one hit. Connor Dixon and AJ Burbridge each had one hit. Briggs had two walks and Kaden Carr and Abram McFarland each had one.

In this game, Kaden Carr pitched four scoreless innings, striking out six and walking one. He was relieved by Bode Druckenmiller for the final inning.

Smith had three hits including a double and two singles. Briggs had a hit and a walk and Dixon had one hit. Paige had a walk and a hit. Storm and Car each had a hit. McFarland had two hits.
