The Chariton boys cross country team’s season came to an end with a good showing at the State qualifying meet at Panorama this past Thursday afternoon.
The Charger boys didn’t qualify anyone for state, but they had some good placings and placed ninth overall as a team out of 14 teams with 267 points.
Trae Hall led Chariton placing 44th overall in 19:34. Lance Wallace was 47th in 19:37. Tyler Goben was 51st in 19:51. Blane Wallace was 58th in 20:13. Logan Demichelis placed 67th in 20:34. Max Aulwes placed 80th in 22:20. Ethan Fehrer placed 86th in 23:23.
“The boys’ times were some of the better times they recorded this season. With the competition we have run with throughout the year, although we always like winning, we’re not disappointed in how we finished. We will miss our graduating seniors and welcome any newcomers next fall as we continue to build a solid team,” Chariton Head Coach Randy Adams said.
The three boys’ teams that qualified for state at the Panorama meet with Des Moines Christian who was the champion with 30 points, Albia who was second with 76, and Treynor, who was third with105.
