Constance "Connie" Irene Campbell

Constance “Connie” Irene Campbell, age 67, of Albia, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019, at the Monroe Care Center in Albia.

Connie was born on March 26, 1952, at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa, IA, to Tom and Theresa (Wilson) Campbell. Connie attended Albia schools and graduated in 1970. She worked at Principal Financial Group until 1991 when her health caused her to take early retirement. She had two favorite Dachshunds, Hugo and Heidi, that kept her company. Connie enjoyed walking, going to Casinos, traveling, watching her soap operas and attending Danny O’Donnell concerts. Connie’s true commitment was to the Iowa Hawkeye football team, she rarely missed watching a game and you could hear her cheering from the other room with her pom poms. In 2018, Connie received a signed photo from the Hawkeye football team with some help of family and friends.

You always knew what Connie was thinking, as she told you like it was. Connie never complained during her many years of battling Lupus. She was always a fighter to the very end. She will be truly missed by her family and friends.
