At their recent meeting, the Chariton City Council awarded the contract for construction of lift station improvements for Division II of the West Lake Lift Station and Force Main Project.

The council approved to award the contract to KLC Construction, LLC at a cost of $186,720 with the added stipulation that Chariton City Manager Laura Liegois oversees the project so that it meets everyone’s satisfaction.

The council also held the public hearing for the West Lake Lift Station project, but no comments were voiced during the hearing.

The council also approved a resolution finally approving and confirming plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the lift station improvements for Division II of the West Lake Lift Station and Force Main Project.

Airport runway project costs approved

The council approved Change Order #1 for the Chariton Municipal Airport Phase II pavement rehabilitation project in the amount of $20,160.47.
